Flexra
Shopify storefront for a US industrial procurement and bulk-purchasing business.
Project overview
Flexra is a Shopify storefront built for a United States client positioned around industrial procurement and bulk purchasing. The build treats the storefront as a procurement surface rather than a conventional retail catalogue: product presentation is structured for buyers who compare specifications, and the path from product to an enquiry is treated as a primary conversion route.
Business challenge
Industrial buyers do not shop the way retail customers do. They arrive with a specification, expect to compare like-for-like across a large catalogue, and often need to discuss volume before committing to an order. A default retail storefront presents products but does little to support that evaluation or the conversation that follows it.
Proposed solution
The storefront was built around product clarity and enquiry flow: structured product presentation, navigation that supports spec-led browsing, and quote-oriented touchpoints that let a buyer start a conversation about bulk requirements without abandoning their cart context. Layout decisions were made mobile-first, since procurement research frequently happens on a phone between meetings.
Features & functionality
- Structured product presentation for specification-led browsing
- Bulk and procurement-oriented enquiry touchpoints
- Quote-request path from product context
- Responsive storefront navigation for large catalogues
- Conversion-focused product page layout
Technical architecture
Built on Shopify with theme-level Liquid customisation. Product templates and section schemas were restructured so merchandising edits map to real procurement categories. Front-end behaviour is progressive: filtering and enquiry interactions degrade to plain links and forms without JavaScript.
